NYU Laboratory for Translational Auditory Research

Cochlear Implant, Speech Perception, & Human Communication Research

NYU Langone's Laboratory for Translational Auditory Research works to uncover the secrets of speech perception by human listeners in both normal and impaired auditory systems. Our primary focus is the study of communicative outcomes by users of sensory aids such as cochlear implants and hearing aids. Additionally, we translate basic science findings to the clinical domain.
